A Chance To Dance

We tested the waters this Summer and obcDANCEARTS is SUPER EXCITED to announce its newest program. “A Chance To Dance” is an adaptive dance program for individuals with all types of disabilities ranging in age from 3 to Adults!! Students will be able to express themselves through dance while exploring and engaging in creative movement, musicality and personal & social growth in a safe environment. The class will promote individuals spacial awareness, large motor skills, and fine motor control while giving students the chance to experience the mental and physical perks of dance class, all while having a blast! The class will be instructed by our experienced and qualified instructor, Angel Michaels who has a B.S. in Psychology, is CPR certified, and has substantial experience with special needs. Buddies will also be assigned and used for assistance throughout the class for each dancer. A CHANCE TO DANCE will be tailored to meet individual needs and it suits both boys and girls. Dance encourages large muscle movement and promotes greater joint mobility. It is not only a great form of exercise for children with disabilities, but it also has many social benefits! Check out some highlights by KT Morgan from our Summer Workshop…these smiles are EVERYTHING!! We highly encourage and welcome everyone to give dance a go, especially our friends who haven’t had the “Chance To Dance” before.
